can we still be married in a Catholic church?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Catholic : One Thread

I am catholic and married my long time boyfriend recently in a civil ceremony. He is not catholic (buddist) and not willing to convert to catholic but agreed to raise children catholic if we do have any.

If you are Catholic, you did not actually "marry" your boyfriend in a civil ceremony, as that is not possible. A Catholic can be validly married only in the Catholic Church. You can be married in the Catholic Church by dispensation, and in fact you must do so in order to be genuinely married. Speak to your priest.
