Triple Tiara

However the Tiara will not be worn anymore. This pope and the last one did not wear it and John Paul II retired it from use.

The Pope usually wears a miter, the same as other bishops.

The triple tiara was donated to the U.N. by Paul VI.

This is sarcasm right?

No, Hugh, it’s actually a lie invented by a tiny reactionary schismatic group in an attempt to throw mud at both the Catholic Church and the UN, and mindlessly repeated by those who don't bother to check the facts.

To speak of “THE” triple tiara is nonsense. There were scores of them. Most popes of the last millennium had at least one papal tiara of their own, made for them by their admirers. Most of the papal tiaras were stolen and melted down by the North African Muslims, German Lutherans and French secularists who successively ransacked Rome. But there are at least 12 papal tiaras still in existence. Pope Paul VI’s tiara was made for and donated to him by the people of Milan as a sign of their esteem. He presented it to the National Shrine of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC on February 6, 1968 as a gesture of his affection for the Catholic Church in the United States. It is on permanent display there.

got Jesus?

Yes! Most especially when I receive His most precious Body and Blood in holy Communion. Thank you Jesus for suffering and dying that we may have eternal life in you.
