A month ago I got my green card (company sponsored - I had an H1B Visa before) and last week I have been approached with a very tempting offer from a different company. Is it ok if I change jobs now? There are people that think one should stay with the company that sponsored the green card for at least 6 months after receiving the document. Is there a rule about this 6 months period or is it just a safe thing to do just in case? Will the CIS (formerly INS) care about me changing jobs so soon after I received the green card?
