Where to start in Washington...

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Art Deco Society of Washington : One Thread

My wife and I have always loved the Art Deco and Arts & Crafts movements, but for did not always have the time or resources to dedicate to our interests. We'd like to start now by spending weekends at antique stores in order to get a sense of what is available. The problem is that we just don't know where to begin. Can someone please suggest antique stores in the Washington DC area that might carry Art Deco/Arts & Crafts pieces? We also frequent Philadelphia, New York, and sometimes Boston, so any suggestions for those cities would be greatly appreciated as well.

Try the Art Deco Expo on June 19 at NVCC in Annandale, VA. You may also want to spend a morning or afternoon browsing the antique shops on Howard Avenue in Kensington, MD. Regards to Sophia.
