Thanks,

The Atlantic & Carolina RR was incorporated on March 30, 1914, and began operation the same year. Originally owned by the Rowland Lumber Co., the line was sold to A&CRR Co on April 10, 1915. Stations: Warsaw(junction with ACLRR Wilmington mainline) mp.0, Hills Ave mp.2, Rhodes mp.3, Middleton-Johnson Siding mp.4, West mp.6, Frances mp.8 and Kenansville mp.10. From opening 'til circa 1930 there were two passenger roundtrips except Sunday. One R-T in the '30's. In 1939 "Passenger Service Irregular". The company, as far as I can tell, owned no locomotives. Did they inherit an engine from the lumber company, or borrow something from the ACL? Passenger service was provided with a gas railcar(#100) and trailer(#200) which were home built from ex-Capital Traction(Washington DC) 4-wheel trolleys. The line was abandoned on April 14, 1948.
