Hey everbody, why does almost every anime media site download with either anti-leech or netpumper? Is netpumper safe? because I once downloaded with anti-leech, and it created a virus on my computor. So I could'nt use my computor anymore, and I had to get it fixed.

Anti-leech (like the name signifies) is a protection program, or what some refer to as a guarding software. It prevents other people from directly accessing any media/software, so that they cannot tamper with it. By using the anti-leech software, many sites are able to offer their products without being afraid of someone stealing it. NetPumper is just a download manager which can download antileech files. NetPumper can also be used to download regular files over a direct download connection. It is useful because you can set up many files at once to download..or be qued..and then set how many to download at one time. This is useful because then you dont have to go back and click on every link to download that file. You just set up all the links at one time and it downloads them when it is done with another file.

Both Anti-leech, and NetPumper have "extras" in them. Things such as spyware and adware.

A program that is better than NetPumper is GetRight. It is another download manager, but it is free of spyware.adware, and if you get the right one, then it can download the anti-leech files.
