Hi Brasky, You pathological hate for Israel( read Jews) clouds your otherwise sane arguments against violence. Israel is a nation of people living in fear of being pushed to the sea but Arabs who hate them. Do something..PUT YOURSELF IN THEIR SHOES.. I personally think they do go too far in the way they deal with palestinians.. but I do not go seeing Dark puppet masters pulling strings everywhere... As far as Israel is concerned you are hearing what fox news wants you to know. supportthetruth.com has some very good secret videos on the day to day BS that palestineans go through. They are treated like second class citizens and as an american I say that is not consistent with our policies. If we want to stop future terror I say leave Iraq and go into Israel and FORCE a reasonable 2 state solution. Remember Arafat's funeral with tons of palestineans? If they were as blood thirsty as you think they are they would have marched right up to Jerusulem and taken it back but they did not. There has to be an end to this madness. If Ireland can stop the killing so can these folks.

I agree with you to a point. The problem here is very deep, but it is more than a political problem. I has a very large religious and cultural element to it. Make a point of taklking to an Arab about jews and you will shudder. I can't claim to have ever met or interracted with a Jew ( am not in the States) but I have met muslims and Arabs and there is a serious problem I admit.

Its a kind of hate that needs a valve, which is a stable palestinian nation. But I have a very bad feeling that one day things will explode.

The problem is not the Jews or even Israel. The problem is Islam, and the Book of Terror (the Koran) that they read. According to them, Israel is like a pig sitting on "their" Holy Lands. Even if they were given a homeland state, they wouldnt stop there. Their book says to kill ALL infidels, and to kill Jews and Christians specifically.

Israel is the only non-theocracy, and the only democratic nation in the region. I dont favor ANY sort of concessions to the "Palestinians". The fact is that there is NO Palestine or a Palestinian people. There has NEVER been a Palestine. Do you think that Al Qaeda attacked the WTC because they didnt like the color of the building? No, they are attacking CAPITALISM, and the fact that Americans refuse to submit to the will of Allah. READ UP ON IT.

I went to almost all Jewish schools up to High School, and I have had at least three Jewish girlfriends. I have attended Bar Mitzvahs and Bas Mitzvas, and have had dinner in the homes of many Jews. I like them, and I dont have a problem with them at all. If they have money, they didnt STEAL it, they simply earned it and saved it. Anything wrong with that?

In the early 80's I met some arabs in quartermaster school(navigation) and they were some decent folks. they partied just like us. In the mid 80's I met a palestinean family through my ex. He was trying to get me in pheizer. He was very family orientated and a very patient person(unlike most americans and jews) That is 20 years ago and alot has changed. Can you give me some impressions of the muslims you have met recently? KOBE, have you read the talmud? I don't know how many jewish folks prescribe to that ungodly racist piece of shit but it pisses me off like the hardcore muslims you talk about pisses you off. I am not saying we have to side with the palestineans. We need to be neutral and influence a peaceful and sensible solution.We should never veto a UN sanction regarding blatant violations of the geneva accords.

I have a classmate who arabic, I know the psychology of the Middle east a bit because they are my neighbours. It revolves around a belief of superiority of the arabic (and jewish )culture and religion, and the fact that Israel has won four wars against all the arab armies combined makes it even worse.

Religion does not help matters.

Iran develops nuclear weapons and the mullahs see it as a sacred duty to destroy Israel, Israel counters with its nuclear weapons, USA enters the fray, China takes advantage and goes after taiwan and trouble increases exponentially.

It's an apocalyptic and gloomy scenario I admit but a very real possibility. What can we do? I dare say next to nothing...WE Are dealing with deep beliefs and a clash of convictions

Because they were part of the Comparative Religion class I had to take while in College. The more religions one studies and reported on, the more extra credit! Suffice it to say that I came to the conclusion that most organized religion was created as sort of "proto-government" constructs to control groups of people. Later, the somewhat vague threat of punishment by God became a very real threat of punishment by people carrying arms and calling themselves "officers of the Law". It was that paradigm shift which allowed the creation of nation-states run by a secular government and backed by local and national militia. The local militia were less heavily armed and became known as the "police".
