Newport News Built SAL Cabs

Can anyone tell me when the final SAL 6cc class cab in series 5274-5303 was retired?

Are there any survivors aside from the weather beaten car at GCRM?

Thank you!

Russell, the last SAL condensed roster of equipment, 12-31-66, shows 9 cabooses in this series. The first SCL condensed roster, 7-1-67, apparently still contains these 9 although lumped into other series of cabooses of this same general design - the total is 52, the same as the total of the individual series in the 66 SAL roster.

Anyway, I have no SCL condensed rosters for several years after that - SCL apparently stopped issuing them until the mid-70s, when they started appearing again. All wood cabooses were off the roster by then. From trackside observation, I think all the wood cabooses were gone after about 1968.
