Prepare for Judgment Day

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Catholic : One Thread

"Peace be with you!", as Our Savior, Jesus Christ, told His disciples when he appeared to them after His glorious Resurrection, is a beautiful, grammatically correct and truly divinely inspired Biblical verse that we, as God's thankful children, should use more often in our daily conversations with each other. My question is addressed to everyone:

"How are YOU personally preparing for Jesus's Second Coming?"

The time is ripe. Please know that GOD loves everyone, and will forgive everyone, everyone who honestly admits his/her sins to God, asks God for His mercy, and atones for his sins in whatever way God wills. GOD wants to save your soul; He wants you to exercise your GOD-given free-will and intelligence to discern between good and evil everyday, before every conscious decision you make regarding your personal behavior. GOD loves humanity so much that He even wants to forgive Cain, who still walks our planet earth. Yes, GOD loves all of His creation, and encourages us to pray to Him daily for His wise guidance. There is still some time left ...

Please, I beg you, ponder this question in your heart today, and pray to God for His honest, loving and (possibly painful) Fatherly advice, and I assure you that you will feel peace in your heart. We are all sinners in the eyes of GOD, because He made us human, not perfect, like Himself. The holy sacrament of "Penance" (or "Reconciliation") is a blessed gift from GOD, and we all should humbly receive this healing sacrament more frequently in our short mortal lives.

I love you,

Mary

Dear Mary,

I agree with you on this all the way.. I believe the Sacrament of Reconciliation is so very healing and I know that God is present and although we are confessing to the priest he is really standing in for the Lord. Each time we go to Him it is really in an act of humility and that we receive His wonderful Grace to continue in our spiritual journey. How wonderful is His Divine Love that knowing the wretchedness and the weakness of humanity He in His Divine Mercy has left us the Holy Eucharist and all the Sacraments to nourish us on our spiritual journey. May God be always with you.

God Bless, Ramanie

"The time is ripe."

Please. People have been saying that since about five minutes after he died again. People said it after the temple was destroyed by the Romans. They said it at the first millenium. They said it at the second millenium. And there were always people saying it about a thousand times in between. I wouldn't worry. There is no reason to believe that today is more ripe than, say, the year 1000 AD for Jesus second coming. It'll happen when it happens. Until then, relax, and be a decent person. It'll all work out.

Dear Anti-Bush,

Have you ever come across the parable of the 10 virgins out of which 5 were wise and 5 were foolish ( Read Matthew Chapter 25 verse 1- 13) have a go at reading it and then may the Holy Sprit enlighten you as to what you should do. God Bless, Ramanie.
