I'm not catholic , but why just not going to a priest , and ask him what you have to do ?? I'm pretty sure , he will & can help you both !!

But , some persons who are baptized , never go to church , but get married in church and after the wedding , they never go again ??

Salute & cheers from a NON BELIEVER:

We already have an appointment with the priest...I guess what I'm trying to find out is what to expect from the appointment. What is he going to tell us we need to do? It's not for another couple of weeks and I'm just trying to get as much information before then.

We just started the process and met with our parish priest. He gave us a marriage enrichment form to fill out. It was scan tron with 150+ questions. It mainly focused on personal self esteem- sharing responsibilities, and spirituality in your marriage. We are meeting with Fr. in two weeks to review our answers with him and have already set a date and time in early March for our ceremony. We have have been married 16 years and I was pretty up tight about the questionnaire, but Fr. told us to look at it as a reflection of how far we had come- there's no right and wrong answers. Hope this helps.
