Is anyone in here familiar with the NUMEROUS archeology discoveries that shine light onto the Bible as well as the exsistence of Christ?

Not much archeology on the existance of Hcirst, thats mroe the realm of historians. Archeology can reveal the existance of perosns only in excavated sites. Christs existance is substantiate dby records.

As for the rest, mu is alreayd know, so what woidl you liek to discuss?

Yeah I should have more clear on that Zarove. Christ that is. I know there not much evidence on Him in Archeology but only records by historians.

Oh I don't know, I just find it very interseting that's all. Well, is there any disputes about the evidence for the Bible. Anotherwords does everyone agree that findings such as King David, Temples, Kings and tribes as well a Jericho are valid?

There isn't direct archaeological evidence of the person of Christ Himself, but there is ample archaeological evidence of the belief in Christ from the first century and in every century thereafter.

The Bible covers a lot of time! Try getting two witnesses to a car accident to agree what happened.

This was an interesting article: "Archeology evidence points to Old Testament historicity"

http://www.cwnews.com/news/viewstory.cfm?recnum=34930

"...the group's findings "mean that those scholars convinced that the Hebrew Old Testament is at best a compendium of revisionist, fragmented history, mixed with folklore and theology, and at worst a piece of outright propaganda, likely will have to apply the brakes to their thinking."

Or were you looking for examples where science DIS-proved something from the Bible?

No Pat I simply wanted to fellowship about archeology discoveries of the Bible. Arceology does not PROVE the Bible is true, but it does indeed harmonize with it. Many skeptics have been scilenced because of the discoveries of Hittites which were once thought to be only a myth and etc. I have a fantastic book on Biblical Archeology by James McDowell "The New Evidences That Demmand A Verdict 1 & 2." It's a real eye opener for any athiest.
