have any of you successfully used some other type of filter with the electric/plastic Santos? the OEM nylon filter frame plug setup is a shameful design for this product.

i have successfully used an older Silex porcelein & sock filter, i was wondering if the replacement filter Bodum sells for cooktop/glass Santos might work.

thoughts anyone?
