Death Dreams

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Ask Jesus : One Thread

This morning, I had two dreams containing the element of death. In one, my grandfather (deceased in October) came alive. This was the second dream.

I'm curious if there is some kind of fear or something I'm not aware of that is appearing in my dreams.

The first dream was this morning before I woke up.

I went back home because my father had passed away. The morgue resembled a supercenter. The shelves contained reserved spaces w/names (in an church tomb manner) and my father's was located on the NE corner of the building (from standing inside, facing out). I didn't even know he was sick. My mother and my two brothers met in front of his shelf. This was very emotional.

We then went to see his body in the sanctuary, which was located behind the building. We had to exit through the front and walk around. The path was very nice, we came to the casket. The casket was closed but transparent as if made of glass. I saw his body inside. My older brother walked around to the other side.

Suddenly, my father woke up and pressed a business card to the casket. My brother displayed the same card to me. They said he really wasn't dead, but that they knew I would come visit them if I thought he was dead. For some reason, I laughed.

I awoke from this dream when my girl called me to wake me up.

YOu coudl simpley be feelign guilty of not visitign family enough, that dos sund liek the case here...

The second dream was after I went back to bed, lol.

I walked up the path to my gparent's house. It was dark already. My gpa's body was in the driveway. They said the coldness would perserve the body. He looked peaceful. I went inside and visited with the family. No one seemed concerned. I went back out with an unidentified person. He still was peaceful, but then he turned, and started snoring. He was breathing!

We quickly told everyone that he was still alive. "Yes," I was told, "He was alive before, but the machine on his heart stopped." The family then had to decide whether he should keep breathing or induce death again.

Somewhere, I got lost, and all I can remember is chaos in the streets as cars drove frantically, racing everywhere. They came to a stop at a church. This church was heaven, and my gpa's body was inside. I recognized this church. I'd been there before, but not in person, in another dream.

Ever experience deja vu in a dream state? I'm telling you!!

Anyway, somewhere I lost my physical form and was only a spirit. At least, that's the best I could describe myself. I could not open the front door (or any door) with my hands, but I could pass through it with a leap. I also could jump through windows without breaking them. I hadn't tried it in this dream, but I knew I could because I had before (deja vu).

I'm not attending the funeral, I have somewhere else to be. Up close to the body is a wall, but behind the wall is a hallway. This hallway interesects with another hallway. At each end of the second hallway is a door. I have to choose a door. I get a running start and jump through the wall and walk down the hallway.

I come across a painting, it's a demon, I think, or Satan. For some reason, I think I'm looking at myself, but I don't know why. Suddenly God is beside me.

"Why are you looking at that?" God asks.

"It's me. I have all the traits. I lie, I steal. I've sworn and I am immoral. Show me who I am."

"Do You really want me to show you?" God asks.

"Yes," I reply. God peels the flesh off my face, yet I look exactly the same. So I'm confused. "I don't belong here."

"Why not?" Says God. "I don't know, but it is time for me to leave," I say.

I look at my options and try to remember the way out. One door leads somewhere. I can't remember. OH now I do from my last visit. A certain number of angels are in that hallway, and they carry candles. But these turn to swords. I remember this from the last time I was here.

"Good luck finding your way out," God comments.

I can jump through a window, but I decide something else. I will myself out. After deep concentration, I find myself outside the church. God appears again to me.

"Come back when you are ready," he says to me.

Then I woke up again.

I also had another dream involving my gpa coming to life. That was about 2 weekends ago. I was napping on the couch. I cannot remember the details.

-- Luke Juarez (hubertdorm@yahoo.com), February 18, 2005.

It's just strange. I loved my gpa. The only man I've loved more than my gpa is my own father. I'm sure the only person my father loved more than his wife (my mother) is his father.

Why is my mind (subc.) focusing on this subject?

-- Luke Juarez (hubertdorm@yahoo.com), February 18, 2005.

Reoccuring dreams are not uncommon for me, so I don't think I should be worried.

-- Luke Juarez (hubertdorm@yahoo.com), February 18, 2005.

maybe its a message from god. I dont think Im in a good condition to give advice or anything but God said fear only him. You do have faith and trust and love in him but maybe you don't fear him. You may have sinned greatly and you felt like you are just like satan. I wish I can tell more but I cant just describe it. In your dream... God said "Come back when you're ready"? Im not sure if thats exact but he still gives you another chance. Take that chance. Take all the risk or you will never pass through the present obstacle

***Luke,

I believe that this is really the core of your dream. To me it would suggest that you need to let go of feelings of unworthyness in the eyes of God. You believe the painting of the demon is you when in fact it is not, you need to forgive yourself and let go of what God has already forgiven you for, since you are not a demon but you are as God has created you to be. The angels are there to assist you in your holy traits and the swords indicate your protection. and because of your traits and the protection of the angels you will have a difficult time leaving because God is already with you.

"Why is my mind (subc.) focusing on this subject?"

Luke, it most likely is not your mind, but an attempt to deliver a message to you from people (now spirits) who do love you, and may be trying to help you understand or reconcile feelings or mis- understandings you/they may have had (such as who you father loved more). See these as positive dreams and not uncommon for a period of time after a loved one has passed away.

It is interesting to note that your father can be found at a grocery store. Your father was the source of survival in your family.

I guess I should clarify that my father is still alive.

-- Luke Juarez (hubertdorm@yahoo.com), February 19, 2005.

Ah! your dad is the one with that neato light sabre and cool helmet, yes?

Sorry, I couldn't resist, Luke.

A grandfather coming back to life after he is dead?

That is a good sign, Luke. Soemeone from the dead cares about you. You are bringing him back by just even mentioning him. Last year around December and early January I noticed signs of depression in you. Unlike other people in our forum, you did not asked for help directly. But I saw the signs since then. You contemplative suicide. Your grandfather is one of those fortunate ones to make it. He is you guiding light towards Heaven. By letting you know your time is not up (The angel of God), that means you still have many years to go where you can help others to get closer to God.

Joe and others mentioned that you there has to be a closer relationship with your family, especially yor father. We don't know the details, but it seems you and him are not close(that is, he is dead). You need to make your father also come alive. Make him part of you again.

Maybe you still don't know what is your career choice, purpose,...for this life. It will make itself known in 13 years. You will experience some not so good things in the meantime, but then things well right themselves up. By that time you will have 3 kids.

Last night I dreamed I was shot in the back as I slept. I was still alive, so I tried to slow my breathing to appear dead to the intruder. It didn't work. He shot me again in the head.

-- Luke Juarez (hubertdorm@yahoo.com), February 21, 2005.

Last night I dreamt that someone was sleeping in my bed. I shot him in the back while he was pretending to sleep. He was still breathing, so I shot him in the head.

Well, actually, I dreamt the the world was ending. The main part of my nightmare dealt with a group of people looking at the night sky. Suddenly, everything began to tremble. Clouds streaked the starry night and the stars began to look different. I could see star clusters and swirling galaxies in the new sky. We ran into the house in fear. Inside, a priest dressed in the 40's style vestments was giving the Holy Eucharist to everyone inside. There were Protestant clergy receiving the Eucharist from the Priest. The Priest was taken away suddenly by some unknown force or event. People were beginning to dissappear. Needless to say, that scared me.

Luke, I'm just kidding about the shot in the dark, but the End Times dream did actually happen.

Last night I had a dream about Rod. He taught me the guitar and we had a few drinks afterwards. He then tried to kiss me and I shot him in the head.

Thank goodness this was a dream.

I always knew you were a child of the devil, jake. You are an evil man with a hateful heart! I see it in all your posts.

-- (faith01@myway.com), February 27, 2005.

I am not Jake the Catholic, faith. Didn't elpido dream you weigh 185lbs before?

-- Jake (Jake1111a11@MSFT.com), February 27, 2005.

Maybe the 185 lbs. was a symbol for the size of her heart, rather than her physical mass.

Oh, sorry Jake, but I'm a happily married male. You obviously are in the wrong forum.

Michael, when Luke goes through that part of his dream and that part comes true, then he can let us know.

I don't know if your interpretation is better, the same, or worse than mine.

Each person is different. We all react differently to fear, anxiety,....

I am afraid of snakes but not of scorpions. I used to see them or touch them almost on a weekly basis on the farm where I was born.

Some snakes tend to follow you. That is why I always carried a stick on my hand.

By the way jake 1111 responded I can tell some people really read my dreams. The Christian Yahwist
