Watch your words

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Ask Jesus : One Thread

Ok, I think I found out why our computers at the Rec. Center keep blocking this forum and not the Catholic forum. It probably had to do with the "Sexual Fantises" and 'Playboy' threads. I'll find out this afternoon after class is over.

Well if I had the password such threrads wuld nto be permitted.

-- ZAROVE (ZAROFF3@JUNO.COM), March 07, 2005.

Zarove, I will email you the password.

-- David Ortiz (cyberpunk1986@hotmail.com), March 07, 2005.

Ok, new plan. Email Elpidio for the password. This computer won't let me log on my account. I'll try to give it to you tonight.

-- David Ortiz (cyberpunk1986@hotmail.com), March 07, 2005.

David. I tried to send you an email. It didn't go through.

Shoot! If I were king of the forum, I would delete this and that and the other. Thank goodness I'm not king!

But, David think about me having the "keys" to your forum. Would you trust me?

Come to think of it, would Faith trust me?

I think that a purposeful rule to this forum would be one that restricted the moderator/administrator from posting his/her own personal opinions. I guess they could be allowed to post facts and figures, but never an opinion. That could keep the moderator/administrator free from conflict of interests in this forum. That would also be like a sacrifice for providing a service to the other posters. It would keep things kosher. Well, it seems like it. But, I ain't the king so my two cents is probably over inflated.

"David think about me having the "keys" to your forum. Would you trust me?" - rod

No.

-- David Ortiz (cyberpunk1986@hotmail.com), March 07, 2005.

I knew you would say that, David. So, I won't ask my inevitable question. Is it because I'm a Catholic? Oops.....I asked.

One of these days people will trust me. In the meantime, you can find me under a rock. :)

..........

-- rod (elreyrod@yahoo.com), March 07, 2005.

And I won't say my inevitable answer rod, It's because you are not mature enough. Opps, I said it ;)

-- David Ortiz (cyberpunk1986@hotmail.com), March 07, 2005.

Mature enough??

My body and mind are gradually falling apart and I'm viewed as being immature. Ha! that is funny.

I wonder, David, what exactly are you afraid of that I would do to your forum? I am curios as to what you fear in me. Do you...

-- rod (elreyrod@yahoo.com), March 07, 2005.

Do you believe that I would be a threat to your doctrine or something?

Even if we delete the threads David Ortiz, somehow they respond to Greenspun.

Anarchy 1 and Anarchy 2 post worse stuff that gets picked up.Public libraries don't accept Greenspun or Eazy Board unless you type your computer number.

Actually, David, Rod has been teh one that has kept this forum going.

He has invited people. He welcomes new people. He and Zarove have done their best to make sure people stay.

You should already bury the hatchet with Rod. It's the third year already.

Rod has his fun side. He loves to joke. You should know when Rod is joking and when he is serious by now.

David,

Zarove has asked Elpidio for the password, and he has refused to give it to him.

Zarove might do a bit better than Elpidio at knowing what should be deleted, but even he seems to be somewhat confused about what is and what is not permissable--and he even gave me an extremely hard time more than once because of his misunderstanding his *moderating* duties.

I told Elpidio that he should delete those threads when they first appeared. But what do you really expect from him? He is an unbeliever who follows deceiving spirits--to be quite frank.

Yeah, but David, Faith pulled my hair and ate my tortillas. She was calling me names and took my Batman cards. She never says "thank you" and she keeps butting in line when we get on the bus. And, she's mean to me.

I'm gonna tell.....

Oops! My immaturity is flaring up again. Sorry.

BTW, She wants me banned. Why? Who cares.

"Even if we delete the threads David Ortiz, somehow they respond to Greenspun. Anarchy 1 and Anarchy 2 post worse stuff that gets picked up.Public libraries don't accept Greenspun or Eazy Board unless you type your computer number." - Elpidio

I'm on a computer at the Rec. Center and it let me on. It was those threads that blocked the site.

-- David Ortiz (cyberpunk1986@hotmail.com), March 07, 2005.

Why don't you test it again, david. Get in first.

Then make a post. Get out. Then see if it lets you in.

Then you can be 100% sure.

I couldn't get in at the public library from July 2003-August 2004.

-- Elpidio Gonzalez (egonval@yahoo.com), March 07, 2005.

Um... I did test it... it allows me to visit the Catholic forum but not Ask Jesus, and it was because of those threads.

-- David Ortiz (cyberpunk1986@hotmail.com), March 08, 2005.

How about handing the keys over to the most unbiased person here?

Me of course.

But then again, I might get power hungry.

-- Rina (emailmarina@yahoo.com), March 08, 2005.

Um...and who might you be?

-- David Ortiz (cyberpunk1986@hotmail.com), March 08, 2005.

Ha!

David and I drank the same water, walked the same dirt, and ate the same foods. He still doesn't even trust his own countryman. I tell you, a prophet is not even welcomed in his own town.

But, that's ok, David. One day I shall grow up. I just hope I'm still alive when that happens. We must be like little children...

Well so far he trust someoen form LA ( which is liek another planet relaly) and a displaced Englishman, so Im fine...

-- ZAROVE (ZAROFF3@JUNO.COM), March 09, 2005.

This reminds me of a joke. It deals with people's perceptions of self and others:

This guy walks into a bar and orders a drink. "Hehyo. I like to ohder a woot beer and sue-um peanyuts. Puleez." The bar tender answer, "Heyo. wu-one woot beer and sue-um peanyuts coming wight up." Then, from the entrance, another guy walks up to the bar and proceeds to order his delights. "Hello. A pleasant evening to you. I would much prefer to indulge in a mellow wine, cheese, and crackers. Please, gracious sir". The bar tender replies, "Oh, good evening to you as well dear sir. Your order, a mellow wine, cheese, and crackers, is a fine one. Please sit down and relax and your order will come right up". Suddenly, the first guy stands up with disgust and voices his feelings. "Hayee! Are you muhaking fuhun of dah wuway I tualk??" The bartender answers with, "Nuowuway! I'm muaking fuhun of the wuway he tualks!"

David can't see me for who I really am.

Ok, did you not see that i was joking? if you didn't, then i will clarify... i was joking.

I don't have the time that others possess to be able to respond very much on these threads. so i guess i qualify as a lurker. i come into this forum and the catholic one and post once in a great while.

i have just enough time to read the threads, and that's about it. for shame. i feel like a peeping tom now.

-- Rina (emailmarina@yahoo.com), March 09, 2005.

Rina, you are a very sweet and kind person, but a "peeping Tom," nah!
